ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • - Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company sales targets and profitability.
  • - Lead, mentor, and motivate the commercial sales team to achieve personal and team goals.
  • - Identify and target new business opportunities to increase sales and market share.
  • - Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • - Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry advancements to adapt strategies accordingly.
  • - Prepare and present sales forecasts, performance reports, and market analyses to senior management.
  • - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to optimize customer solutions.
  • - Ensure customer satisfaction and manage resolution of customer issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintains contact with federal, state, and/or local government agencies and utilities to secure fleet business, actively utilizing the bidding process.
  • Solicits commercial fleet accounts.
  • Ensures quality deliveries of all fleet sales.
  • Acts as source for national and local courtesy deliveries (supplying specifications as needed for orders).
  • Provides out-of-stock service for fleet accounts and local leasing companies in conjunction with new-vehicle department manager.
  • Supplies new-vehicle department manger with monthly forecasts of fleet car and truck deliveries.
  • Follows up on dealership payment for delivered fleet, lease company, and commercial account vehicles routinely.
  • Maintains professional appearance.
  • Attends managers meetings as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • State Sales License
  • Valid Driver's License
